You have inquired about having the busing arrangements for your child altered in order to accomodate a stop other than your assigned bus stop due to your work schedule for the 2023-2024 school year.
For the safety of the students, please be aware that everyone involved must be notified BEFORE change can take place. Therefore, please submit your form as soon as possible.
You will need to complete the Request Form for Special Transportation Arrangements form (on the next page) for each child. The completed form will be returned to the Transportation Department for review. If your request can fit in an existing bus route, at an established bus stop, and there is room on the bus, your request will be approved. The sitter must be within your school's borders.
You will be advised of approval or denial of the request by the Transportation Office. If approved, you will be given a starting date and bus pass to give to the driver. The process will take three (3) to five (5) school days to complete and allow us time to notify all of the people involved with this change. Please keep in touch with your child's teacher regarding your arrangements, as the teacher puts your child on the bus at the end of the day.
Please make sure that all of the information on the next page is completed. We must have your work phone number for emergency situations. Please be clear on exactly what days and times your child will be going to the sitter. Use the "Notes" space for any additional information you feel we should have. Incomplete forms will be denied and will only delay action on your request.
Your request form will be kept on file in the Transportation Office. The information will be sent to your child's school and a copy will be given to the bus driver(s). If the information on your form changes at any time during the school year, please notify your child's main office and the Transportation Office as soon as possible.
